The Coasters is one of the Rides available in RollerCoaster Tycoon World.
Types
There are 4 categories of roller coasters in RollerCoaster Tycoon World: steel, wooden, inverted, and launch-track. These categories have 10 coaster types each. Players can either build their own coaster using the type that they chose, or choose one of the pre-built coasters for that coaster type.
Other editions
As may be expected from the title of the games, roller coasters existed in all of the editions made for the RollerCoaster Tycoon series. However, in the other editions, the organization of the roller coasters was slightly different than it is for RollerCoaster Tycoon World. For example, the coasters of RCT3 are divided into steel, wooden, inverted, and water. Also, none of the editions besides RCTW have exactly 10 coasters in each category.
RollerCoaster Tycoon World's roller coasters are also much more enhanced than those of previous editions. In all editions except for RCTW, you have to use presets to customize your coaster. For example, you have only a few selections of how sharp you want a curve to be, and just a few selections of how steep you want a drop to be. RollerCoaster Tycoon World, however, enhanced this, by allowing you to make curves and drops at any desired angle.
